This vessel has been awarded many prestigious awards for both exceptional presentation and service. They have won the Australian Bridal Industry Award (ABIA) for Excellence for Best Harbour Wedding Reception Vessel five years in a row from 2003 through to 2007. In 2008, Sydney Sundancer was inducted, as one of only six wedding suppliers, into the Australian Bridal Industry Awards “Hall of Fame”. Sydney Sundancer has also won the City of Sydney Council Award for The Best Illuminated Vessel on Sydney Harbour on New Years’ Eve and The Australia Day Council's award for The Best Dressed Vessel on Australia Day on Sydney Harbour (2000, 2001, 2002, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013). Safety and Equipment
Is the boat safe and in good condition?
Yes, the vessel is currently in survey with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), which requires comprehensive safety equipment standards and regular safety checks. A safety briefing is given to the charter passengers before embarking and safety gear will be provided if required. All vessels in our fleet are selected for safety, comfort, quality and cleanliness. We are proud to keep them this way.
What is the maximum capacity of the boat?
Sydney Sundancer is surveyed to hold a maximum of 50 passengers, 1 skipper and crew dependent on your passenger numbers. Please note, an infant, regardless of age is considered a passenger.
Is the boat suitable for children?
Yes, Sydney Sundancer is suitable for children appropriate sized lifejackets lifejackets are available on request. Children must be under adult supervision at all times.
What toilet facilities are on board?
Sydney Sundancer is equipped with one modern, spacious marine toilets with easy access for charter.
Arrival at the wharf
We recommend that your party arrives at the wharf 30 minutes prior to your charter. The boats need to book the wharves and have a limited time to pick up and drop off your guests.
What to bring
As with any outdoor venue, we recommend that your guests dress for the season . We ask all guests to wear soft soled shoes - No stilettos or heeled shoes. Guests wearing these types of shoes will be asked to wear socks or bare feet.
